The position is responsible for developing a human resources strategy, and implementing it in a manner that benefits the company and employees.HR Interns provide the company with a human resource representative who provides information and advice about human resources issues to management.HR interns are paid a flat hourly rate of $9.50 per hour, with a bonus of $5 per hour for each hour worked over the 10-hour workweek.HR internships are offered by a wide variety of organizations, including, but not limited to, companies that are large and medium-sized businesses, nonprofits, universities, schools, government agencies, and government-owned businesses.
As part of the HR Internship, interns will participate in group projects, such as organizing meetings and discussions, providing feedback and analysis on the organization’s policies, and providing feedback on the hiring process.
They also receive weekly briefings on the company’s HR policies, practices, and processes, as well as on human resources, and hiring practices.
They also receive paid time off during a company’s employee-focused wellness week.HRInterns also will be expected to participate in a number of community service activities and events.
To be eligible for the position, interns must have a minimum 2.2 GPA, be an active member of their local student body, be able to provide an honest, accurate, and concise writing sample of their CV, and meet the company hiring requirements.
