RTE 1 This is the first time the company which makes the ‘O’, ‘Oki’, ‘i’, ‘I’ and ‘C’ in the Osu brand has been identified by a reporter.
The name change was made in 2016.
RTE 2 In a press release, Osu said it has been working on its ‘Ochi’ name for a decade.
“This is our first time using the word ‘Osu’ in a media release, as we are the first company in the industry to do so.
It is an honor to be associated with the name, which is one of the most popular in the world,” the release said.
“We have a strong, loyal and passionate team who share our passion for Osu and our mission of empowering and improving people’s lives.
We look forward to sharing the name with all our fans and followers.”
The Osu name is also in the news this week, after it was revealed that the name was chosen in the early 2000s for a school that was supposed to be renamed after the first Chinese emperor.
The school was renamed ‘Otakayama Junior High School’ in honour of Emperor Wu Cheng.
The school was then renamed after Wu Cheng’s daughter, Wu Qiong, who was the first to attend.
